SOUND FAMILIAR?

you just want to go on a nice walk with your dog.

But the long line has become a permanent safety net. The lead can feel like a battle before you have left the gate.

You are looking over your shoulder, watching for the next dog, scent, bird, rabbit or distraction. Once the outside world takes over, it can feel like your dog is no longer part of the conversation with you.

You have tried treats, whistles, classes, videos and bits of advice from every direction. You don't need more things to try. You need a clear plan for the dog in front of you.

More freedom for your dog. more confidence for you.

A better walk starts with understanding what your dog needs, then knowing what to do next.

WHY WALKS STILL FEEL HARD

a better walk is more than a recall cue.

Recall gives your dog safe freedom. But it holds up when fulfilment, clear communication, lead skills and impulse control are working alongside it.Bootcamp brings those pieces together around your dog and the walks you actually want to enjoy.

a clearer system. a dog who stays in the conversation.

OWNER AND DOG. DONE TOGETHER

you learn with your dog.

You see what Nick sees, practise the handling and leave knowing what to do next. This is not a dog drop-off service. You are the one holding the lead when you go home, so the work needs to make sense in your hands.

E-collar work, where suitable, is one part of a wider recall and communication system. It never replaces fulfilment, teaching, clear handling or an understanding of the dog in front of you.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU

this probably isn't the right fit.

The long line, lead pulling or unreliable recall are not changing the walks you want to have.

You are happy to keep managing the same routes and situations rather than working towards more safe freedom.

You are looking for more tips to try, rather than one clear system to follow.

STILL GOT QUESTIONS?

the honest answers.

01

where does the training take place?

Bootcamp takes place in West Yorkshire, in suitable training environments chosen for the work we are doing with you and your dog. You will receive the exact location, arrival information and what to bring before your Bootcamp begins.

02

what if o’m not local,  do i need to stay near you?

You do not need to live locally, but you do need to be able to attend the full Monday-to-Thursday intensive with your dog. Some owners travel in and stay nearby for the week; others commute if that is practical for them. We will share local accommodation guidance once your dates are confirmed.

03

how does the e-collar work? will it hurt my dog?

Where it is suitable, the e-collar is introduced gradually as part of a wider recall and communication system. Your dog is carefully conditioned to understand the sensation and what it means before it is used around real-life distractions. It is not used to scare, hurt or overwhelm your dog, and it never replaces teaching, fulfilment or clear handling.

Still unsure? Read the free e-collar guide →

04

is this punishment-based training?

No. We work with your dog’s instincts rather than trying to shut them down. That means appropriate fulfilment, clear communication, consistent boundaries and teaching your dog what you do want them to do. The aim is a dog who can enjoy freedom while still listening when it matters.

05

i’ve tried trainers before, why is this different?

Most owners who come to us have already tried classes, whistles, long lines, online advice or other trainers. Bootcamp gives you a clearer order of work: two weeks of preparation, four focused days learning with your own dog, then four weeks of support when normal life starts again. You are not left trying to work out how a training session applies to your next walk.

06

what happens after the four days?

You do not leave on Thursday and get on with it alone. You have four weeks of WhatsApp support, relevant Hub resources, community access and a written continuation plan, so you know what to keep working on when you are back on your usual walks.

Choose a time that works for you. We’ll talk about your dog and whether Bootcamp is the right fit.
